You seem to be ignorant of geology.

Current volcanic activity is very low by geological standards. Volcanism can and will increase dramatically and unpredictably. I was referring to the long term variability, to which volcanism does contribute. A couple of Tambora scale explosions would quickly convince you that I am correct.
