I'm still astounded a democracy would dare do it, without being able to present enough evidence to convince the world of its necessity.
Even today, we can't say for certain Iraq won't become an islamic republic like Iran.
The thin line is between the US need to stay there (and upset Iraqis who want to do it on their own) and a democratic process that needs to become stable (without the US).
