I am sick of labelling of people as 'left' or 'right'
I dont even know what they mean anymore to be honest - particularly here in the UK where we have three near idenical main political parties with little more than very very fine detail seperating them
Just because I disagree with the reasoning behind the war in Iraq - i am branded a leftie.
Why?
Do I have a liberal outlook on life? I dont know - I just see leaders lying about a war - and lots of people dying.
Infact, my upbringing would brand me as a class A1 Tory boy ( conservative )
I was against the ban on Fox Hunting here in the UK (not because I think fox hunting's great - but because I dont like the way it was pushed thru parliment ). I think the current Labour government are a bunch of lying idiots on the whole, but the concept of 'left' 'right' 'conservative' or 'liberal' mean little here in the UK when it comes to mainstream politics - and the extreme split in US opinion is a very strange and wierd thing to observe sitting in a nation that doesnt have such a thing.
I still dont understand why, in the past 12 months, the 'blog' has exploded as a source of 'facts' when they are all just musings.
