re: MM Honesty Test For Liberals

Did you see "Farenheight 911"?

no

Did you see it more than once?

no

Did you like it?

didn't see it

Did you feel it was accurate and objective?

Should I give more weight to Tom's opinion or to the whacky leftist folks' opinions that Tom linked me to?

Do you think the term documentary is accurate for that movie?

Answer me a few questions first, to help me define terms:

do you consider those Disney (what are usually called) nature documentaries that deliberately staged dramatic confrontations between bears and cougars, gave the wild animals names, etc. as fitting your definition of documentary?

How about this? Is it a documentary?

Or how about this 1948 documentary which supposedly has a healthy dose of fiction?

Did you ever criticize this film on the habitablezone?

Not as I recall. It is reputed to have footage of Bush sitting and staring for a long while after hearing about the 9/11 attacks, that I would like to see.

Have you ever criticized MM on these boards prior to the last month?

I have a vague recollection of Tom linking me to something at Moore's website that I said I disagreed with.

What is it you dislike about MM?

Usually I have to have some kind of personal relationship with someone before I can develope anything like dislike. I have some observations about him: he is sometimes a shrill partisan. does not take much care in choosing some of his positions. has done some brilliantly funny bits that I have seen on TV (Puritans shameing Ken Starr, or preaching peace&love to a bunch of right-wing survivalist types at their compound in Idaho, for example).

So what, then?
