Is motivating the relligious right to turn out in large numbers giving Bush an unexpected religious mandate the MM result you were referring to?
Polarizing people do not serve the public interest when they gather large support rapidly. It's like the rocket equation, it tends to cause an equal and opposite reaction making compromise almost impossible. And yes that goes for people screaming treason too. All have the right to speak out.
