>>He's used some sort of bas-relief artifacting of the SOHO imagery and movies to give the appearance of a solid surface where there is none.

No, I used several types of images, including Doppler images and running difference images to show that there IS as surface under the photosphere. Two weeks after Dr. Manuel and I published our first paper, a "stratified layer" was confirmed by heliosiesmology via Stanford.

>>An iron crust simply can't exist in those temperatures. Iron's melting point is 2800 degrees Fahrenheit with a boiling point of 5182 degrees. The coolest points on the sun (4000 Kelvin or 6740 Fahrenheit) well exceed the boiling point of iron.

But the "surface temperatures" is closer to 2000K and solids WILL start to form once you get under 4000K.

>>While my own theories about solar structure differ to a large degree from the current gas ball model, it's easy to rule out the sun concealing a surface. The sun's magnetic phenomenon are polarity driven.

No, but the exectrical arcs from the surface do create "polarities".

>> The magnetic band of high activity around the center reveal that the sun is like a giant field driven by rotating currents of energy.

It is driven by currents of electrical energy and it actively interacts with the solar system electromagnetically.
