re: Speaking of Logical fallacies....

>>Does the Stanford group, who actually did the work here and shouldn't be otherwise implicated in this, support your iron shell interpretation? Or are you hacking off a chunk of their research and pasting it to your hypothesis.

Actually, they were quite careful in the paper NOT to "interpret" this stratified layer in any particular way, or to attempt to explain it using contemporary gas model theory. I don't know exactly what Alexander Kosovichev thinks of these ideas at the moment, but you can see his original responses to me from about 6 months ago on the tsunami page of my website.

>>In all seriousness. You've neither made the case that there should be an iron shell expected at the surface of the sun, or that one exists there. It's a neat idea but it doesnt explain solar physics anymore than the theory of a metallic mercury shell explains a flourescent lightbulb.

Actually, it does explain the cause of CME's, the cause of coronal loops, the electrical nature of the interaction between the sun and the earth, the solar cycle, the stratification at a shallow depth, etc. You can't even explain the stratification seen in heliosiesmology with the gas model, let alone the running difference images, the dopper images, etc.
