"The consistent structures in the movie are caused by stationary flows in magnetic structures, sunspots and active regions."
What he couldn't and didn't explain back then, and certainly didn't say in his paper is what holds such magnetics structures "stationary" over hours, days and weeks. You'll notice that in his most paper he offered NO such magnetic explaination for these images and in fact he points out the difficulty in even trying to suggest such a thing. In essense his later papers refutes his early explanation, and we have a stratified layer that is blocking plasma flows right in the middle of the convection zone, 4800Km beneath the photosphere.

Now of course unlike Dr. Kosovichev, maybe you could explain to us what holds these magnetic fields "stationary" in 3D?
