I see no surface in any of the images you presented. I see a sphere of demodulating plasma with wildly gyrating magnetic field driven eruptions.

Check out this Doppler image of a wave passing through the photosphere and notice the angular "structure" that is a part of this "stratified layer" that is imaged in heliosiesmology. Those anglular 'structures' are quite unlike the liquid-like behavior we see in the wave traversing the photosphere. What is that shaped structure under the photosphere and how is it holding those angular structures over hours?

In the first running difference image from Lockheed, where do you see any evidence of movement in these structures? What holds magnetic fields in such angular 3D shapes?
