Serious solar research began in 1980 with the advent of new technology. Hans Bethe's formula for fusion from the early 1940s has been basically left alone for the lack of a better one.
I have serious doubts about the accuracy of a sixty year old solar formula based on a very limited data set. As a result, folks have been plugging in observational data in an attempt to fit it in with Bethe's assumptions.
The stationary artifacts and their stability for hours, days or weeks seems in opposition to the conventional image of plasma or gas spawned from a giant fusion furnace. For the clues to this durability of artifacts we must look at their larger brethren, the sunspots.
These enormous holes in the sphere of granules are sustained magnetic anomalies and put a window of sorts into these granules, revealing their formation and the vortical appearance of their motion.
The sun, apparently, can maintain certain magnetic structures for weeks at a time and in doing so, block the formation of granules in these regions. Like some invisible, magnetic force field, the gases and plasma are kept from these spots.
It is this same magnetic force that is the answer to your question about how these structures form at the .995 level. I think it is safe to assume that the surface of the photosphere is maintained not by gravity or atmospheric pressure, but rather must be viewed as a field and the movement of plasma, the solar flares, etcetera are all guided by the same principles that support a field.
In this case we must address frequency relationship. A field is sustained and generated by waves forming a structure based upon their affiliation and compatibility with other wave forms.
The stratified layer, appears to be the manifestation of field physics to the sun. Like layers of an onion, the plasma and its structure is guided by frequency relationship along magnetic lines of force.
In my earlier post I mentioned the varying rates of rotation. These too, are in accordance with field movement of plasma - not a solidified iron crust.
The faster rate of rotation at the center with symmetrically longer rates both above an below are a dead giveaway to the balanced field nature of the sun and the fact that all this movement orbits an invisible magnetic pole.
Expecting a simple fusion furnace to express with such mathematical stability and symmetry seems like expecting a nuclear reactor to regulate itself without control rods. There is a missing element to solar function that we need to identify.
I suspect that the formation of stars is somehow linked to the formation of hydrogen atoms themselves-and that stars are not best described as fusion furnaces but that they perform some other atomic reaction or condensation. I base this on the uncanny steady solar output which defies the chaos of the fusion process and somehow escapes a chain reaction.
I see solar function as predicated by galactic cues, and that all stars are part of a galactic system and linked at a level and way we cannot yet fathom or begin to understand.
This would explain the steady solar output. Output would be geared to galactic motion itself, like parts of a watch all working in sync and not varying to any great degree.
So to sum up, the artifacts are magnetically sustained by lines of force and the entire stratified surface, varying rates of rotation, etcetera can be seen as plasma of varying density seeking balance within an enormous magnetic field environment.
