Just you wait...

...I've test driven a pre-release at 'Morality 3.0' and you would disapprove of it completely - that is at least until you try it. ;-)

Most emotions are completely absent from the upgrade. They are replaced with new expanded multi-relativistic abilities to interpret data from more sides.

Grief and sadness are replaced with compassion.

Anger and hatred are left out altogether leaving merely disagreement.

Love remains but is clarified to be close understanding and affinity.

Fear is completely replaced with a new type of calm, attentive concern to adverse matters at hand.

Jealousy is completely gone as well replaced with genuine joy for others accomplishments and activities.

Joy remains but is tempered by an expanded logic which sees the downsides to all things and so prevents the roller-coaster highs and lows that come with seeing things one-sided.

Morality 3.0 is no longer merely personal software but is linked to a network.

One-sided perspective is found in Versions 1.0 & 2.0, and Version 3.0 is truly multi-dimensional. The difference is night and day. Like a role playing game that allows you to play EVERY character at the same time instead of just the same one over and over, one is no longer confined to morals and values based upon a fixed personal perspective and the concern for ALL people takes on new meaning.

In an infinite universe fixed perspective morality doesn't cut it past the terrestrial playgrounds. One needs to learn to see things in this new infinite manner, and that means from as many different perspectives as possible. Like 3D modeling versus a one dimensional sketch, the new morality sees as many angles as possible and evaluates with a new level of perspective.

Good/evil are downgraded into a new perspective of productive and counter-productive. Yet the absolute necessity of both good/evil are now completely obvious as well as their complete and total interchangeability from other perspectives. From these multi-sided perspectives one cannot rejoice in victory without also feeling the disappointment of loss. Morality 3.0 becomes more balanced application and is more stable, with fewer crashes, as a result.

At first it may seem that this rational, emotionless, multi-view morality is heartless and cold, but that is merely the illusion when viewed from one perspective. This morality becomes vastly more constructive to all who upgrade because it extracts much of the 'selfishness code writing' that impaired Morality 1.0 and 2.0 ability to interpret data and replaces it with a broader, society friendly, interface that does away with greed, envy and war. Wars, and the emotions that spark them, are side-effects of those who are still running either Morality 1.0 or 2.0. Unlike Spock's Vulcan logic, Morality 3.0 inputs replacements for emotions. It's hard to describe but 3.0 brings about a new feeling that defies emotions found in 1.0 and 2.0. It can best be described as a sort of assertive, active, appreciation of the universe and one's place within it.

I wish I could say it is available here, or that I am running a version of it myself but it seems to have compatibility problems with human bodies. The best one can hope for at this time is 3.0 with certain functions set to run in Morality 2.0 compatibility. Naturally this creates performance compromises and disparate swings in responses to various input. ;-)

PS
Morality 3.0 sees rightwingers and leftwingers completely equally. It understands the sequence of events, thoughts and experiences that formed the viewpoints of both.
