What belligerence were we committing on 9/11 that brought the wrath of the Islamists down on New York and Washington?

Have you read any of bin Laden's writings? Zarqawi's? Do you know what the Islamists want as an end goal?

It's easy to snipe at the military solutions, or the attempts to use force to defeat the terrorists, but the fact still remains that the anti-war groups have'nt got one workable idea to deal with people who believe the world should be one single Caliphate.

Back before the election we went over what brilliant solutions Kerry would have had for all this. Most of the responses I got were chest-pounding, high-pitched shrieks, and feces-flinging.

Do you think a President Kerry would have been scanning terrorist calls with the NSA? Would we have hauled ass out of Iraq a year ago? Closed Guantanamo? What would be be doing about North Korea? Iran?
