There's a good list of milblogs here. Check a few out.
Not all are in Iraq, not all are even active duty. Huge variations.
One of the best, Michael Yon's, isn't even written by a military guy. You could do a lot worse than go to his site and spend an evening scrolling back through his posts about Mosul.
Don't dismiss these sources with stereotypes, or assumptions about how much combat they see. Especially don't fall into the trap of assuming that all the negative ones have been somehow "censored."
