Professional military
You're completely misrepresenting the modern military, including its makeup, and motivations. You don't like the label "liberal," but your stereotype of the professional military as gullible, poverty-stricken, uneducated, and unable to make their own decisions, goes right down their center line.
The statistics on education and income don't bear out the stereotypes, never mind what these people tell us when you ask them about their lives and career choices.
