It's less about supporting Bush--you can see a partial list of complaints here--than it is about keeping the modern Democratic Party away from the steering wheel.
Bush didn't have to be George Washington or Abraham Lincoln to get elected. He just had to be better than John Kerry, who had no fixed principles at all. Same will be true of whoever the Republicans run in 2008.
