Your revision of history is fascinating, especially your revival of the Domino Theory in SE Asia, and your absolution of the Left and the Democratic Congress for their role in that.
The Allies largely flattened Europe, and Truman dropped two atomic bombs on Japan. Making peace was a bit easier after that. The current state of warfare considers our military an operational failure if there are any civilian deaths, destroyed buildings, or military casualties. D-Day resulted in 1,500 American dead on one day alone, along with up to 20,000 French civilians in aerial bombing.
You know, any time you want to lean on me for stereotyping Democrats, you might want to come back and look at this post.
Frankly, I've had it up to my eyeballs with the assumption that generosity and kindness are traits exclusively reserved to Democrats, especially when they almost universally express it by spending someone else's money. I could stand up in Congress too and support spending a billion dollars for Good Works. My wallet would be just as fat leaving the chamber as it was going in.
