Of course most kids from divorced parents would like to see their parents together. It's the notion they're brought up with. To have their "family". It's on TV, it's in books, but sorry Tom, it's just not reality.
My mom tells ME she stayed with my dad for me and my brother.
And she was miserable and DID get cancer. I saw her struggle. It was no picnic living at home and I couldn't wait to leave.
I vowed never to put my kids through an untenable situation like that. Better they have two households to go to with reasonably content separated parents, than be in one big miserable one.
You wrote this after my quote:
>"Like I said. It's about her, not the kid."
And I take major umbrage with that because I was giving you something from MY perspective. And it was never about "me"; it was always about the kids.
