I'd have to agree with you Steve; that was a well-thought out reply.
Actually, forget "couples", how many individuals do you know that are "fair and balanced?" LOL
And there's an age group that fares bedtter with divorce (the younger ones). It's more difficult when the kids are adolecents and just gaining their individuality in the outside world. I've seen kids from a bad divorce grow up a LOT better than kids who grow up in dysfunctional families.
I gave my kids consistency and a secure home and I sacrificed a great deal for them. It paid off. Not many women do that. Their kids are just another to-do thingy on their list. That's not how it was with me.
And we could start another thread here. When my kids were younger they had to endure their father and I arguing a lot. They were ALWAYS sick, were having bad dreams and both were acting out. As soon as we separated and I took the kids, ALL of that stopped. They are well-adjusted adults now in their 20's. I'd hate to think of what they'd be like if they grew up in such a hostile environment.
And I'd be sick myself, probably from cancer from just being purely miserable. And stuck in an untenable situartion.
