re: Ok, you hack...

Two: You use the same BS argument that your radio talk show hosts that you ape use to slander those that have looked into the facts... "Having a billion people in mud hut, burning dung, may result in less CO2 production, but in terms contributing to the rest of the world, any CO2 or methane they produce isn't "worth it". "

Well, as I've said before, I don't listen to talk radio. I don't even listen to music on a radio. I don't even have a radio in my vehicle. I don't have radio in my car because I don't want to get bored and therefore listen to a radio. I'm fairly convinced that I have missed nothing of any significant because I don't listen to radio. AND I know that I have missed year or so worth of solid commericals and therefore missed a year or so worth of annoyance {or dare I say, torture}.
As for what I said- I thought it was sort of a new idea, actually, but I guess it's possible I missed something from not listening to Talk Radio.

"Yeah, right, I want us all living in mud huts so that we can worship the 'earth mother' Gaia - you have apparently missed the past 6 years of my posts... nice try at trying to smear me ..."

Hmm, I didn't intend to suggest you liked mud hut living. Probably freezing your ass off on top that mountain doesn't lend much to the glorious dream of living in a mud hut.
My point was quite simple: What is worth more to Americans: large populations [of Indian/Chinese/African] driving around and consuming energy or large populations of poor people. For instance, think of the loss to the world by having all those soviet citizens trapped behind the Iron Curtain. People not being free is economic loss- a culture and spiritual loss to humankind- that these people could be unhappy or suffering isn't the greater significant of the loss. Empathy is nice, but I'm talking about self interest, our nation's interest, and/or human species interest.
