Not really
Infertile heterosexual couples have always been allowed to adopt children, if they show that they can provide the necessities of life and it is in the best interests of the child. It is an established norm. Adopted children often grow up believing that their adopted parents are their biological parents, and even if they are told that they are told that they are adopted, their family structure is still nearly identical to a natural one.
