... if tax benefits only apply to adults with dependents under the age of 16, then I imagine gay rights groups will then start lobbying to allow gays to adopt children. I just don't agree with that. I think children should be raised by a mother and a father. I think it's unfortunate that alot of women today choose to have kids without first finding a father that will stick around and help raise them.
But I don't accept it as normal. They are the exception, and are poor justification for allowing gays to adopt kids.
