I cannot consent to what you say. It's destructive of civil rights. It skates back toward eugenics. It undermines equal treatment under the law.

You have every right to indulge your feelings. You have no right to inflict your feelings on civil society.

I have great hopes that sense will prevail, and you will not.

Forgive my short temper with you. I have witnessed real harm done to people -- not just the discomfort of being hit on, but physical violence and loss of jobs -- done by those who think as you do. It has affected my reply to you and I apologize.

But since you will never see yourself as anything but correct, you will never understand that. You will never be able to sympathize with someone unlike yourself. And so you will be comfortable in your ability to turn three-dimensional people into one-dimensional caricatures defined by one trait that you condemn.
