For some reason, science has been slow in discovering the cause of this condition, and so I think alot of lobby groups, particularly the media, have made it politically acceptable to enshrine sexual preference in the constitution.

What if, next year the cause of homosexuality is discovered, and it is found to be either treatable or preventable? What use would it be then to go forward with all these legal and constitutional accommodations for gays?

The cause hasn't even been determined, and you accept it? I don't, there are all kinds of reasons not to. But most importantly, ignoring the cause is negligent IMO.
