I didn't know that. A court decision was made on November 26, 1999.
I think the courts are deciding alot of things that should be decided democratically. The law is just a series of logical if-then decisions, based on prior documents created by parliament. I think parliament should specifically name exceptions to the rules they create, so that courts cannot override them later.
I eagerly await the referendum on the subject.
