I live in a country where between a third and half my income is taxed from me at various levels. The regulations and codes we have to live under occupy on the order of a million pages. I am told by liberals that this is a good thing.
I am told by liberals that the government should be handling my health care and my retirement, and my use of resources. That education should be controlled by the state.
And suddenly I'm supposed to go to the ramparts because the NSA might know what numbers I placed a phone call to.
I notice the example of the IRS obtaining complete records of almost everything we do in our lives went right over everyone's head. That kind of interference with our privacy, ten times worse than what phone numbers I call, is apparently a GOOD thing. You don't think that information winds up in databases?
The NSA is over fifty years old. Somehow, we aren't a dictatorship yet.
Frankly, I'm surprised a modern liberal is even able to pronounce the word "libertarian" without their heads exploding, never mind having a clue as to what the word actually involves.
