ER speaks again!

Thank you, Frank, and all the others who have welcomed me to this forum.

By now, you must all realize "ER" is a nom de guerre, but I will hang on to my privacy and keep my true identity hidden from you. I have been free-lancing professionally (but I still keep my day job) for a few years now and it would be immodest of me to let you know who I was so you would feel obligated to google me and read my stuff. Also, I'm scared of this guy I just crossed sabers with over in "Current Events" . He was spooky. I don't want him (or her) to know where I live

I was born in 1947 and I have degrees in science and mathematics. I have been working for over 30 years as a professional geographer and cartographer, for a government agency in Florida. I am married (25 years), with no children. My hobbies are amateur astronomy, sailing, celestial navigation, writing and listening to classic rock and JS Bach.
As for my politics, I am a New Deal Democrat. As you know, I did a hitch in the Naval Reserve, including a year of sea duty on a tin can as a Quartermaster. An Army QM hands out blankets and towels, a Navy QM is a navigation technician.

I already emailed my bio to someone named Robert on your album page,
but I guess it got lost. If he should read this, please forward it to the moderator...it has a 30 year old photograph of me for your amusement; and please forgive me if it takes me a while to learn all your names.
