Well, now, I didn't know for sure it was DL, though the tone and the sentiment were very familiar. I sorta felt like an extra newton or two of force was justified for trying to shoot from cover, however meager.

There's probably some justice in your view that I overreacted. If Davin ever lifts the barrage of words I might get a chance to slip in a conciliatory word or two. As it is I'm trying to avoid getting drawn deeper into a very old feud. When things calm down a little I promise to try and pour a little oil on the waters.

My reaction might be a little clearer if I mention that traffic is down, and more than one person has commented that the Zone seems "quiet...a little too quiet." Population is down, and there are noticeably fewer participants on the right side of the political spectrum. It's mostly just poor Tom and gbaikie carrying the whole load, and Tom especially is starting to seem a bit frazzled. We don't need people to leave, we need people to come back and new people to join up. This is a particularly bad time for somebody to try and drive away a neophyte Zoner, especially with a harsh attack on the endangered Conservative species--it risks driving away more than just the newbie...you see why it rubbed me the wrong way? I think we have enough problems without that.
