You take this tone WRT something said on Flame? Looking for excuses, are we?

The Zone deserves props, but what its degenerated to does not. You have taken issue with me for whatever reason- you may dress it how you like, but its really beyond me caring at this point. People have done and do far more egregious things, have far many more posts deleted (at last count, how many of mine have ever been deleted for offensive content?) and have postd far more offensive things (even about the zone) without you taking the tone with me that you are taking.

Basically, what I think, is that you want me gone because I did the one thing you refuse to tolerate- not buying you as the objective impartial grand judge that you wish to be seen as. Aside from that and your having called me a liar some time ago, I have no issue with you. But I won't raise my voice in song to you or the zone falsely.

I'm far from the first one to comment on the problem with discourse on the zone, and certainly not the first to do it in the company of n00bs- In fact back in 2001 someone gave me the exact same advice I gave ER . But I'm certainly the first that I have seen you react this way to. Certainly not on flame. And Yes, if ER is going to take it hard when Tom acts like Tom on flame, then he really shouldn't engage in discourse here, because you know and I know its not going to get any better.

Now, just as Tom has some really convoluted pipe-bendingly-obtuse excuses for his believing the president and supporting the political tide of our country for the last few years, I'm sure you have some equally convoluted pipe-bendingly-obtuse reasons for having acted and continuing to act in a way towards me that is inconsistent with others (and thus, notice, inconsistent with the Objective Judge you wish to be seen as). But you know what? I'm not really interested, Spare me, go right on and tell it to the rest of the zone, but I'm not interested.

Beyond that, your pique over how I portrayed Tom on FLAME(!) is disengenuous as well. You have said much the same and criticized him for much the same behavior on non-flame boards in the past. Half a dozen or a dozen others have said exactly what I have said. Want me to dig up the posts? This is Toms standard operating procedure, we all know it. It pisses people off. Tom has never been able to GROK the fact that he is doing something that authentically pisses authentic people off when he pulls out his wide brush and fires off the 'present company excluded' BS. Thats simple truth. ER needs to know that he should either take this behavior in stride or, simply put- not take it by not participating. Its honest advice with real truth in it. Sorry if it impales your sacred neutered bovine, but you can't deny its truthful advice to the core.

Your comment about my contributions to the zone is bordering on dishonesty, you know I contribute more than most to the zone when I'm not even posting here. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Beyond that, I have always contributed objective expertise on Geek when someone posts something up my alley- always have, even when I have not been 'in residence'.

Basically, I have written more in this one post than I have written here in the larger part of a year. Its not an enjoyable experience. And dealing with you is no longer enjoyable and has not been since your whole attack on my honesty. So I will take your advice.
