dtb has a point

One really must see and accept that the media is going to be working against society in more ways than one. One also must realize that a large portion of the planet does not have the capacity to penetrate such deceptions and manipulations with their limited education, cultural focus, etcetera.

At this point, like Bush, one really must just go forth with one's own agenda and ignore both the media and those duped by them. Karl Rove and others are there to hire the sorts of people and groups to try and counter the waves of propaganda which wash up on papers, radio, internet and TV with the same reliability as the tides.

Left, right, up, down, liberal, conservative are all misnomers based upon the symbology society is so dependant upon for classification and communication. They are all forms of limitation, regimentation and are used by most for manipulation.

You're not a conservative, but a man with views formed from his learnings, experiences, environment, formal education and self-education.

It's safe to say that everyone is the byproduct of these same elements and their views, ideas and actions are a complex matrix of ideas that have been stored and influence their conscious mind.

Less intelligent folks can pass through a high propaganda society like Mao's cultural revolution and believe wholeheartedly in it. Depending upon their distance from the reality imposed by the policies, they will be less likely to see any flaws in it, try to see the positives and are driven by the human desire to fit in with their peers and their immediate cultural environment.

This is the same thing the liberals feel about "neo-cons" - that safely removed from conflict, our judgement of the Bush ideosophy is hopelessly mired in patriotism disconnected from reality, and that as such we are promoters of violence and hatred in the name of loyalty and a pigheadedness born from pride and reluctance to admit failure.

Each individual is unique and the data they have at their disposal is different. The more data, the more complex each decision becomes and the more factors can be weighed in and more alternative actions, choices and idaes will pop into these folks heads.

For some, I do not doubt that their characterizations are correct. There are some liberals who are the byproduct of the shallowest dataset that leads them to follow in opposition to capitalism, Bush, conservative beliefs without any real thought or conflict in their minds. Its easy for them to be this way because their is less data to create conflicts. The same is true for some conservatives who mindlessly follow Bush based upon the simplest of reasons and need no convincing to hate liberals, activists, etcetera.

The bottom line is the ability to adapt to the unending flow of events and experiences, use and gather new knowledge constantly and go forth as best ones' own conscience dictates.

Fighting any particular flavor of propaganda is an unending process. In five years or five centuries their will be born people who hold all sorts of views based on all the components listed above. There will always be struggle and conflict and even when one ideosophy seems entrenched and nearly unassailable, it will find itself assailed and eventually brought down.

Our particular flavor of capitalism, democracy and freedom will not last. The immigration issue alone will see to it that the USA is set upon a trajectory of forced decline, greater ignorance, greater socialism & simultaneously greater religious power alongside a rapidly diminishing scientific prowess.

Does this means one gives up? No, of course not. Does it mean one changes one ideosophy in resgnation of the numbers who will be diametrically opposed to it? Of course not. But it means one must save one's efforts for worthwhile exchanges. One can't convert masses of people or educate them to the degree necessary in a few posts nor should one feel one has to.

One simply adapts, changes and acts in such ways as one feels one can have the most beneficial influence upon oneself and others. Nothing is constant except change.
