Off course I posted something similar, but I really think it's just a case of partisan blinders that causes some to take your post as partisan spin rather than appeal for moderate responsible behavior on the part of Democrats.
I'm happy with the results but worried as an independent over the same issues you raise. I hope for moderation, but am sure the Democrats will get theirs even quicker than the Republicans if they fail to govern from the middle as Pelosi promised last night. It took 40 years for the Democrats to get too arrohgant and out of touch the last time. It took the Republicans just 12 years. I don't think the country's in a mood to give either party that long again. Indpendents are a growing force and we're not going to take it. In an evenly split highly polarized electorate you can't win without those who don't give a damn about your party dogma. Find something that works that gives most people what they want or get out of the way.
