The universe doesnt determine 'reality' until it is 'observed'- (ie Schroedinger's cat is both alive and dead until the box is opened), sounds like a lazy programmer writing code to minimize computing time, with the program written for sentience....
Why calculate what every atom is doing under a rock on Mars if no one is looking?
