Relativity tells us that the observation is determined by the relationship of the observer and the observed.
The uncertainty principle tells us that the very act of observation affects the observed event.
"observation" is a phenomenon associated with consciousness.
Thermodynamics, like most physics, cannot be fully understood without employing the concept of entropy, or increasing disorder, a concept from information theory. But "information" is also a psychological concept.
Although entropy increases (things run down) in the long run and on the average, at small and local scales, the universe seems to have a propensity to generate highly complex structures. For example, a plant is an extremely complex system, but to make it you have to increase the entropy of its environment, i.e., break down sunlight, soil ,water, air to simpler forms. It's as if the universe tears itself down even faster by creating small pockets of complexity to help break down the overall structure to simpler forms. Complex, simple, these are also quantifiable terms associated with consciousness.
Consciousness seems to be somehow connected to physics, as if consciousness plays some sort of role in the cosmos.
