A Turkish friend said recently that the Army would never let the Islamists push the country into radical Islam or even conservative Islam. I hope he's right.

They're perched to fight the Kurds inside Iraq. It's a worrisome situation and I don't know how this new government will act re: the Kurds and Iraq. It could get more tense. Or worse.
