"Bulldust!
There were many groups at many times in Northern Ireland who specifically and maniacally targetted mass civilian deaths in a true terror campaign.
To deny this is to perpetuate another American myth. "Our friends are OK. They can't *really* do wrong..." "
I don't think many American consider the IRA as their friends, I would say the same thing in regarding IRA to the Weather Underground:
"Weatherman, known colloquially as the Weathermen and later the Weather Underground Organization, was a U.S. Radical Left organization consisting of splintered-off members and leaders of the Students for a Democratic Society. The group referred to itself as a revolutionary organization of women and men whose purpose was to carry out a series of attacks that would achieve the revolutionary overthrow of the Government of the United States[citation needed]. Their attacks were mostly bombings of government buildings, executed after calling in bomb-threats and making sure their target buildings were evacuated."

Maybe kinder doesn't fit the description as well as slightly less crazy- or not quite as stupid in terms of trying to achieve there political objective [winning a war]. The Arab terror "improvement" is really an "improvement" by people who are more clueless of what they are doing. The only advantage to it is there they happens to an apparent abundant source for the human guided bombs- a abundance of meat attached to less brains.
