"When it comes down to it, if the U.S. has the right to go after terrorists across a border, so does Turkey."
But do we have that right? I'm not saying we do or don't; I'm just asking the question. Because, if we do and somebody is involved in a terrorist act in say, Russia, does Russia have the right to come into the U.S. and take out the terrorist(s) if they were hiding here? What if Russia said it was terrorism and we disagreed? This is a can of worms, that once opened, you can never completely close again.
The age we're living in, terrorism is getting to be the norm where terrorists commit horrendous acts until someone cries "uncle!" and they get their way. Would Ireland have ever had any changes under British rule if the IRA had not done their thing over the years? Did it force the British to make concessions?
We didn't just cross a border; we invaded.
