You guys are the ones labeling the possible uprising as "leftist". It is not my belief, if a revolution actually comes, that the perpetrators are necessarily going to be only the card-carrying left. As a matter of fact rich and strong leaders of both parties will be targets if chaos reigns. The distinction in sides will be between the powerful and the powerless.

Why Lee, you might just fall into that powerless side one day through no desire of your own. If the worst fears of the people believing we are moving towards a dictatorial Fascist state are realized (and I have no money riding on that end result), those societies have a real history towards eating their own. Maybe you don't attend the right church. Maybe you've got a genealogy which doesn't fit the accepted one. Perhaps your financial power is down at the time of the takeover and you're viewed as "one of them" instead of an insider.

Revolutions and civil wars are not something to be desired and it's not the left that is creating the conditions that historically bring them about. It's greedy people Lee, ones that aren't satisfied with building their corporate powerhouses so that they coexist with the mom and pop shops selling the same product. It's people that feel their entrepreneurial skills and good fortune have entitled them to have more stuff than any one human could ever need in a thousand years while people starve and die of preventable diseases around them. It's people who can afford to send their children to private schools and then create conditions where the public ones are destined to fail. It's powerful chicken-hawks that foment fear resulting in wars that kill a far larger percentage of the powerless than the powerful while their profits surge.

You and Tom somehow read that I was calling for armed revolt so you obviously picked and chose parts of my post instead of reading it for its full context. My intent was not to incite but to instead warn. The mood of the less powerful of America is probably at the point where the French citizens were maybe 20 years before the guillotines started appearing. However, continued government abuses here could push people over the edge prematurely.

The next part of the evolution of our society is not in the hands of the left but in yours. There's only so much the people will take.
