Besides, Lindy, since when have you ever bowed to "expertise?" For instance, when an American officer in Iraq says things there are going well, do you buy it?
The point I'm trying to make is, you dismiss "authority" figures here all the time. If some of us choose to dismiss Friedman's conclusions, how is that different?
