Both my wife and my family are from Arkansas. Arkansas is my second home state- after Texas, of course. Combined, we have hundreds of relatives in that state. We have heard the stories about Bill Clinton similar to what you say. He could be a racist at time (Sadly most Arkansas white males I know are racist). But that was then. People do change, and I do think Bill does honestly try to treat all races equal. Since he was president, I have not seen him do anything racist, so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt- I don’t think he is a racist anymore.
As far as adultery goes, that is another story.
My Aunt came down to visit me when I was in the hospital. We started talking politics and I asked her if Clinton was as bad as the rumors say, when it comes to women. My aunt said when he was governor; two of her female friends that would go visit him regularly and basically have a wild time. The sad thing is, it was well known about the revolving door of women going in and out of the Arkansas governor’s mansion, but no one said anything. Hillary even knew about it, but never said anything. To be honest, I think their marriage was more of a business partnership than a traditional marriage.
I know you don’t like Huckabee, but he has greatly improved Arkansas. I have personally seen that state improve under him and the people there love him. And their state parks are first class. They are much better than the ones here in Texas. Hot Springs, Little Rock, and Texarkana are all booming.
What Mike Huckabee has done for Arkansas- from an Arkansan
You may not like the guy, but he is a man that gets things done and moves forward. And I love his tax idea. Unfortunately, I don’t think he could win the national election. His religious history scares away too many people.
