I can't believe it but I'm going to come to Tom's defense in this one. Although I share your belief that it is likely that Bill Clinton truly is a racially compassionate person, there are many red flags in his life that show him to not be the image he's earned. Quite a bit of the legislation that came out of his administration ended up in the long run to severely hurt minority populations economically. A prime example is NAFTA.

One must always take Bill Clinton with a grain of salt since he has such tremendous abilities to manipulate conversations. The man is a master actor and salesman and I believe will say and do nearly anything to seek and retain power. I also think there is a compassionate and fair side to the man but his intelligence and humanity can certainly be overpowered by his huge ego.

Obviously Bill would never publicly spout such an outrageous statement and Tom knows that completely. I saw it as a joke and nothing else. We've all said equally outrageous things about Bush and company. Chill pill is in order. I was actually encouraged that Tom could write that he could live with an Obama presidency.
