I'm not really in the mood to go into all the benefits of free trade. It's there for anyone with an interest in studying neoclassical economics to see. Let me just point out that without NAFTA corporate America would do exactly the same thing it has done with NAFTA. We just wouldn't have gotten all the benefits NAFTA has given back to America at the same time.
As for NAFTA being Clinton's "parting gift," it was ratified in 1993 and went into effect in January 1994, two years before Clinton was elected to his second term, and before the tremendous economic growth that began late in that first term and through his second term.
I'm not an idol worshiper of Clinton's, but when people imply he is a racist despite his lifelong history of opposition to racism, and when people state blatantly false economic "facts," it tends to get my ire up. Clinton was an complete idiot in his personal life, but as president he was one of the best leaders in modern history.
