Jamie Hill has dug up two of the largest emeralds ever found in North America on his site in Hiddenite, NC, about an hour east of me, northeast of Hickory. Looks like a good place to go <a href="http://"www.northcarolinaemeralds.info/HiddeniteDistrict/NAEMMine/NAEM.htm"><digging.>; Check out the 300 lb crystal point he found 6 inches under the dirt.
