but I come here primarily for intelligent conversation , which is damned near non-existent in the real world, and it is something I absolutely must have in order to survive. I come to read good writing, and to get people's reactions to my own. Even the most infuriating people here are better informed and more articulate (with some exceptions, of course) than the dildoes and bimboes I run into in the world of work and business. I also use it to monitor the latest trends in the vast, right-wing conspiracy, since I don't keep up with any blogs or published political writing, in fact, I find them all rather tedious and annoying, irrespective of their slant. The original purpose of the Zone, as a sounding board for science and space, has taken a back seat, although that is why I originally came here in the first place.
As for my personal details, you already know everything you need to put my remarks in some kind of context: education, interests, family background, career, life experiences. Nothing else really matters to a disembodied voice writng under a pseudonym. If you actually met me somewhere and spent an hour talking to me in person, I would probably come across like one of your typical bimboes and dildos in the analog universe. In our alienated and competitive, and rather larcenous society, you dare not give yourself away, so all you get is name, rank and serial number:
Elisee Reclus, rock and roll geographer, Florida, 1947.
