I go into Google Earth or Google Maps and look at the terrain around here quite often, not only where my property is (and you'd have a laugh if you knew where it was), but where I THINK I want to live. I can FEEL something in this area when I drive around. I'm like a dog after a scent. I just can't figure it out. But whenever, I find it, it will be "home".
And I collect rocks, just small ones now that catch my eye. They're all pretty neat. Stick them in my flower pots, line the garden with them. Think I told you I was once in the gem and mineral business. And thinking of that, I've never yet been to the museums you recommended, either in Asheville or Hendersonville. Maybe it's time to go have a look.
