owns his own business and works in an industry he loves and has a world reputation in, as both a successful businessman, craftsman and technical innovator. He has built up a firm which he will pass on to his children, it is his business and he is tied into it emotionally and professionally as well as financially. He puts out a good product, makes a good living, and his employees worship him. If all businessmen were like that I'd be on your side.
He is not a professional manager who cares nothing about nautical engineering and construction and is only in it to please the stockholders' representatives and collect his bonuses and stock options. I've seen other boatyards run by similar men who have been forced to sell out to suits who took over their outfits and started telling them how to build boats. Most of them went under, plundered by these parasites,or wound up mass-producing over-priced unseaworthy consumerist crap. And none of these company dilletantes were government toadies or state bureaucrats, they were all "financial experts", business majors with a rap very reminiscent of yours.
You are so paranoid about the collectivist menace you haven't been able to figure out that collectivism was not invented by Karl Marx. The corporation has been around a lot longer than that.
