One is talking addiction and it's processes.
The other is talking about the benign process of enjoying a substance for recreation.
Let's face it ...anything can be overdone and have consequences.
Whether you eat a lot of junk food and sugar and get fat...THAT ruins your health and blood sugar, and a good portion of the population is obese. That also ruins relationships and lives.
Or you start out drinking for pleasure or to be part of the crowd, and find it settles your nerves. Some can wake up the next day and stay away from it. Some find it a panacea and can't wait for their next drink. And they lose control of themselves. And on and on.
Two different subjects.
