Here's my prediction

Enjoy this

Charles Meets Barack

My prediction is this. There's a huge groundswell of people that like me get a tear in their eyes when they see something like this. There are millions of people that in dire economic times have opened their wallets and sent small contributions to the Obama campaign. There are hundreds of thousands of folks that have stood together to watch the first real inspirational politician in their lifetimes including 9,000+ in a rainstorm today. John McCain's home state of Arizona is almost in a tossup today after McCain was up by over 20 points just a few months ago.

The right wingers on this board used to really get to me because they were truly winning the political power struggle in this nation and I was rapidly losing hope in my fellow citizens. This year for the first time in decades, I have hope again. The most unlikely candidate is on the verge of possibly helping us find our humanity again not through bitter divisive tactics but through a message of looking once again into our good and compassionate nature and not just our power and wealth.

No American leader on either side of the aisle can get us back on track on their own. It requires someone both extremely intelligent as well as someone truly inspirational that can mobilize the American spirit. That person will be the next President of the United States. I'm hoping for a landslide but I'll settle for a single electoral vote margin.
