"Pockets of corruption and occasional sex scandal?" Okay, now that's some pretty good revising right there.
Very little in that post is reflected in the real world, as I've detailed elsewhere. You seem to find this mythology comforting.
The problems we have in government are systemic, inherent in a government that has way too much power, and you're going to have to learn the hard way that getting your Messiah into office isn't going to change the corrupt and stupid way things are done any more than the Democratic takeover of Congress and the Senate changed one damn thing.
The American Left invested a lot pyschologically in the idea that every problem on the planet was there because Bush was president, as though nothing bad ever happened before that.
Now the Democrats run the show, top to bottom. As time goes by, there aren't going to be enough people dim enough to think that EVERYTHING is leftover Bush problems. As just one example, in what way do we blame the current "pockets" of Democratic corruption on Bush?
