I took some time off this board. To my complete lack of surprise, the result was not a wonderful and benign environment of balance and careful thought, but a conversion of the site to a leftist free-for-all at the expense of the opposition, and a gangup on the few conservatives who took time to post. The latter is why I came back.
Frankly, the "why are you picking on me?" crap from people who generate a constant storm of abuse got old a long time ago. Sorry, but "Democrats have done a few minor bad things" vs. "Republicans are fascists who almost destroyed America and the planet and the sooner they are completely gone the better" is not a good definition of "nuance."
My research used to make people angry. Now I can see that most people are simply filtering it out of their minds, or usually, not even bothering to look at it in the first place. After all, how can any information that conflicts with Our Truth be real?
Look at Bowser's post here, my response, and his retort. He had to literally shut his intellect off to write that last post. He's not the only one doing this sort of thing, and its becoming the rule here when it used to be the exception.
