Let's carry this thought forward.
There are atolls in the the Pacific that will remain
dangerously radioactive for 1,000's of years.
Some of those atolls are American property.
And what's a few tons of extra radioactive waste
compared to the millions of tons already there [on one atoll alone]?
iA few tons more every few years ain't going to make a hell of alot
of difference.
And since some of those atolls were once inhabited
by Polynesians or Melanesians. [moot point] They've been moved!
They're not going to return; not for 1,000's of years! it's too dangerous!...
Yes, it's a historical injustice that they were removed...boo hoo hoo!
Forget about it!...Those days are gone!
Let's do something constructive with those uninhabitable/uninhabited atolls!
Use them to store nuke waste.
And since those atolls are American territory, you can use the US Navy
to keep Greenpeace, Sierra Club, etc. far away.
