Bottom line
The technical problems of nuclear power are solvable, or already solved.
If we don't build nuclear reactors, it's because politically and economically we choose not to.
In the 1970s, we had a wakeup call on energy. France built nuclear reactors. We went back to sleep. It looks like it might be another thirty years with our eyes closed.
We cannot run an advanced technological society solely on windmills and switch grass.
